The Voice season 22 is headed into the Knockouts, which means the competition is getting kicked into high gear. Rowan Grace is still in the race to become the next champion of The Voice, and she’s only 16 years old.
So, who is Rowan Grace? She’s made it through the Battles and will face off against two other singers in the Knockouts. From where she’s from to her musical background, here’s what you need to know about Rowan.
1. Rowan auditioned with an Olivia Rodrigo song.
Rowan performed Olivia Rodrigo’s “traitor” for her Blind Audition. John Legend is the first coach to turn his chair, followed by Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello. The coaches had nothing but praise and promise for Rowan. “You remind me a lot of Olivia,” Camila said. “I’m inspired by you.”
2. Rowan is from South Dakota.
Rowan is from Rapid City, South Dakota. “I grew up in the music scene around here in Rapid and that made me who I am today as a musician,” Rowan told South Dakota Public Broadcasting. “And so I think it’s really awesome that they highlighted that because that’s a big part of where I came from. And where I got all my musical influences and that kind of stuff.”
3. Rowan was 9 when she performed for the first time publicly.
Rowan sang the national anthem publicly at 9 years old, according to her NBC bio. She has since started performing on open mic nights and was even in a band last year. In addition to singing, Rowan knows how to play the piano.
